An' thar's a pink version too--whichever variety one has, ya get about 3-4 days of bloom, then a week of carpet:
The bulbs is burstin' in bloom...
but I 'specially luv the green amaryllis
though Mr. Frog (above) is quite content near the scarlet amaryllis.The last of the Camellias remind me that they need fertilizin' now to insure next year's show...

Lent IS long, I was just thinking the very same thing earlier in the week. It went like this "How long is Lent, when is Aunty coming back?"..... "THAT long??" :-)

Lent does seem longer than 40 days without a dose of Aunty wisdom here and there. Your neck of the woods is looking very Spring. Ours is early too as the oak bloom has driven all the allergy sufferers indoors, the dogwoods, forsythia, quince, wisteria,azaleas and bulbs are all either showing color or in early blooming stages.
I do have a beautiful pink and white striped amaryllis but I do not have any of that dreamy pale green. I reckon I best be researching the bulb nurseries!
