Well, thanky y'all fer yore visits. I thought to make note of those whose brave travels changed history or our understandin' of our world. On account of them, our world is different than it might'a been had they not ventured forth!

ain't sure whar' them Wise Men came from. Tradition holds they's
from Parthia, Persia and Bactria...but we doan truly have much info--not even the real number of 'em--not necesarily jes' three of em (an doan'cha love Van Dyke's Fourth Wiseman story?) St. Matthew doan say Three Magi. Jes' "Magi from the East" but mebbe cause only three gifts is listed the idea is thar's only three magi.
Other sources list them as comin' from Indus (India) and Chaldea and Persia (Iran today). An lots of scholars seem to think nothin' much more than "east of the Euphrates River" can be said of 'em.
