Hope y'all is all out merry makin', deckin' yore halls an' jingling some bells.
Round heah we's off to a bumpy start for the Christmas season--Aunty's buggy wuz rifled an' lots of important thangs was missin', includin' a file of personal papers wif' all manner golden data fer ID thieves, plus a trunk full o' Christmas gifts and such. Lemme tell ya', the problem ain't only that I'se out the jingle that I already done spent, but the TIME to re-shop? Mercy Maud, what sorta cur does such a thang??
Then I dashed to D.C. whar' it were all fer a good time, but no shoppin' were done.
Next, we had a hoop-de-doo fer Pappy Cracker who is showin' us how to do an 80 somethin' Birthday wif' snap an' sophistication.
Jes' to keep thangs lively, Uncle had his throat slit, but the doc were a hunter too, so the thang be a clean job. Still, playin' nurse to a fella that takes full advantage of recuperatin' sympathies is a full time job....as I'se sure some of y'all knows. Anyhoo...Uncle survived, though his singin' of Jingle Bell Rock is a wee bit off.
Finally I thought, I mayhap have 3 seconds to whip out a new post, but HUH??? Google disabled the Front Porch--ain't a clue how come, but fer the moment they's seen fit to let it back on line--reckon I might oughta type real fast.
If they ain't no more holes that go to poppin' open, an' I can keep enough fingers in the dike, I'll be back wif' a Christmas post.
I sure hope all y'all is faring well--That yore homes is full of cheer, merriment, an' mebbe a wish come true.

That's a whole lot of disaster for a Christmas that's still a week away. Theft and Uncle had his throat slit - What? What's the story there? There's no worse feeling than being robbed.
I couldn't open Moi's Blogger post for the Haiku last week. Only let me see half the page. But I can see her other posts - Christmas weird from Blogger.
And just when you thought things couldn't get any worse for you - the Kill Family will be visiting you're great state over the holidays. The Mrs. decided that Christmas wasn't hectic enough that we should travel (by air) during the busiest (and most expensive) week of the year. This will be the first time in my life that - I won't be home for Christmas.
I sure hope things calm down over your way and Uncle is back to singing at full volume soon.
Oh no!!! I am so sorry you had things stolen. AGAAGHG. and no kidding it would be hard to find the time to replace things and the loss of your papers/etc is equally horrible. :-(
Glad to hear Uncle is on the mend, but it makes me wonder... who is taking care of Aunty? xoxo
I reckon you live in a more dangerous place than the jungle, Miss Aunty Belle. I hope your Uncle who got his throat cut isn't Uncle Remus, because I liked that old fella'. Give my regards to Brer Rabbit when you see him!
AAACK! My goodness, aunty belle! Talk about a string of bad luck.
I second boxer .. who's taking care of aunty?
xxx and here's a big cyber hug too!
Goodness, Aunty, that's not a great beginning to the holiday season. Nothing worse than a thief in my mind. If the authorities can't catch them, I sure hope karma does.
But you still sound in fine spirits. Probably because of Uncle :o)
Here's wishing you a very Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year!
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!
Sorry for your troubles!
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
LOL cracka.....Aunty - I swear! Harsh holiday for you. but i bet today is spectacular. May you and your family be blessed in the new year, and Merry Christmas!
