Dear God, Aunty. Granny and my mama within days. Maybe they traveled the beam of light together? How wonderful for your family that there is a new baby...that is a kind of order to nature that heals the sorrow of loss. I am so sorry about granny cracker. My prayers are with you. DId granny cracker get to see the new baby? was she actually waiting to see this child?

Auntie, I'm so sorry, but I am very glad Granny got her way and was able to wait for the tribe baby to be born. I feel for you and Chickory so much, it is so difficult to lose your mom, no matter what age you are in life. Peace and love to you and your family.

Morning Aunty Belle,

Godspeed to Granny, may she rest in peace. I know these past months have been hard on both of you. Now that she is a rest, perhaps you can get some too. My sincere condolences to you and your family.

Glad to hear that she was able to make it long enough to know of the new arrival. She was one tough lady.

Peace be with you all.

But Aunty,
I seriously hope this is not the end of the Granny Cracker chronicles. I suspect there are many to be told and I've loved them all to date.

Right smart angels to bring the baby afore fetching Granny :-)

My deepest condolences, Aunty. I loved every one of your Granny posts and hope that you can find some comfort in this time of loss. Which is also one of gain, so congratulations as well on your family's new addition. And, I love the idea of your mama and Chickory's bumping into each other as they embark on the next part of their journey.

Aunty,
I don't think Jambalaya is one of their dishes ... yet.

Dear Aunty, take care as you deal with all of your the family, the arrangements, and the freshness of your loss. I hope there's an abundance of comfort food as your clan gathers - and that it honors Granny in a way she would be proud. There's some grilled cheese and seafood and a bit of a dedication to you and Granny up over at my place whenever you have the time (yep, it's one of my long posts, and way down at the end).

Hugs, eggy

I am so sorry for your loss. Granny sounded like quite the scrapper. I bet she could cook up a storm. As for comfort, Chicken and Dumplings is about the best comfort I can offer. It also works for welcoming a new member of the Tribe. How wonderful with a new little spring baby.

I wish you peace.
