I don't know....
Coffee maker by the bedside sounds closer to addiction than appreciation of that irrascible bean.

Then again...I personally am still addicted to air, so, I can't really say one thing or another about someone else's addictions....

(while I AM glad I quit smoking, I do have a hankering to it on occasion. That's why I keep clover flowers and dried mint about)

Aunty Belle...you is riding the new design trend, albeit the Aunty way. I have three projects now where we have added "morning coffee bars" to the floorplans...
seems it's just too far to walk to the Kitchen for yer beverages. I like them...we now have "executive" or "owners " suites in the big residences. Now they have a bedroom, 2 walk in closets, a ginormous spa bath, an outdoor space, the morning bar and the flex space which is usually an office, a library or a workout room.
Where budget or square footage is limiting, we are adding under counter refrigerators/wine coolers in those ginormous baths and built-in coffemakers ...
the thinking is to have the same "suite" effect as very nice hotels for at "at home" getaway experience!.
