So very touching. I'd read a story about the rescue dogs at the ground zero site, made me so sad. A somber MM to you Aunty.
Excellent inclusion of the Red Cross - I've been giving to them since I was a teenager.
Happy Mute Monday!
This is far and away my favourite MM today and many of these pics made me tear up. The 9/11 ones in particular and all the kids drawings.
Want me to chase off that silly person above me? I've had practice :)
Happy Mute Monday Aunty.
Wow. What a great composition. Truly great. Liked the whole thing but the picture of the Girder Cross and the patriots praying was my fave.
Happy Mute Monday!
That picture with the plane and superman gave me goose bumps.
I think we all felt what Patriotism is about on that day - I know it changed some things in me.
The Red Cross! God Bless them.
Happy MM.
A lot of unsung heroes here...Bless!
RAVEN,
Reckon is it somber, but I din't mean to be so at the end--see that happy upraised hands, and the sun shinin' in that last drawin'? I'se hopin' to show that our chillen learn to be patriots by watchin' our examples. The rescue puppies have their own trust fund , I heered.
MOI,
The Red Cross and our folks go all over the world to lend a heppin' hand.
GYPSY,
Thanky so much--the poor wee ones-- a hideous time, but the essence of our patriotism is how we pull together and come through--an our little ones learn a valuable lesson on life--be helpers, be doers, be willin' to be thar'for others!
Doan worry none about the person above ya'--he/she will learn the price of their ignorance soon enough. But thanky for yore defense!
TROLL,
Well said, good sir.
ANON BOXER
I know I know!! I got a lump in mah throat when I seen that superman drawin' too! Poor babies--we all need heroes.
KATE,
yes unsung heroes--includin' wives and kids of police and firefighters and soldiers, the tireless chaplains, the helping nameless stranger.
Happy MM, ya'll!
Loving those kids drawings. And I thought there would be loads of other Patriot missiles! Great MM x

Cake-y-Pie,
Yep. kinda funny, huh, that we'uns is the onliest ones wif a
Patriot Missle.
Bunny-Babe,

RUELA
Wow--that is nifty. YA's talented. Thanky fer yore sentiment.
K9-Pup,
Thanky!
youse SO right. What galls me is that folks is expectin' an overnight solution, and git all prissy fussy iffin' this effort takes a few years. Drat.I meant to show our chile'-babies is dependin' on us--we have to invest in their future. Ain't no drive though McDonald's fix fer this situation.
(I knows some folks I loves cain't sit still wif' that--iffin' ya wanna kick it around, we can meet on the BACK Porch.) A hot soak in the tub, Pup is what will restore ya' after a day of it with 7-9s
Foamy-Lady
Hey--yes, the wee ones' art is revealing. Long time ago, in a galaxy far away Aunty did some work in psychology--we had a method dubbed "projective techniques" whar' li'l ones drew, or had finger puppets, or doll houses/ to express what ever "Story" they wanted to tell...I doan hols to it fer serious thangs like court cases an' such, but it can be a window into their emotions. All mah best to your former soldier-fella.
Very poignant collection. Touching, indeed.
So glad you got to make your way back to my place. Enjoy my country "cousins..."
