Keep the Mafia outa my Mozzarella

Dang it!!

Ain't NUTHIN' sacred no more? C'mon, Mafiosos, give us a dern break, ya' thugs.

Iffin' any of ya'll is a "foodie" then ya know that buffalo mozzarella is the bestest kind of all....and most of it is imported from Southern Italy.

But now, they's a idiot runnin' the Neapolitan Mafia. Seems the boys is cornered the waste disposal market and they illegally dumped crud into the water systems, tainted the cheese with deadly dioxins.

Why doan them goons stick to the numbers racket?

No more Pizza Blanca (moan)
No more Insalata Caprese (sigh) (WHY is I growin' all these tomatoes and basil iffin' not fer the Caprese? )

Iffin' ya'll knows of reliable sources fer good artizan foods, Aunty is all ears.

Well, it won't be as good as the buffalo...but you can make your own mozzerella quite easily.
Even my domestically challenged spouse is able to make it.

Noooooo! That's terrible. Makes Moi ashamed to be a quarter Sicilian. However, if you don't want to make the cheese yourself, the Vermontians will save the day (as they usually do when it comes to cheese.) EXCELLENT stuff: http://www.starhilldairy.com/

MOI beat me to the link to the Water Buffalo Farmer in Vermont. But may have supplied an old one. And they sound like friggin HIPPIES.

Anyhay Aunty, I'm surprised at you and UNCLE. You're sounding like a democrat: Complain Complain Complain.

As a pork rind magnate, I'd think Uncle would understand agriculture AND a bidness OPPORTUNITY when he sees one. Water Buffalos would do REALLY well in Florida. Much better than Vermont.

We should view the situation in Italy as an OPPORTUNITY.

Our one attempt at aged cheese was a dismal failure.
We can make very good farmer's cheese, mozerella and a sort of fresh cream cheese every time.
I now have basil and tomatoes growing too.
