Hey is that dog abuse? I love all of these... I'm sitting here a hot summer day wondering how I get myself a hammock. You picked so many wonderful things about summer.

That was great. We used to join up with friends in the neighborhood and run through the yards. I especially remember the smell of the damp sheets out on the line drying in the warm summer breeze. Odd how certain smells remain with you for life.

Love the al fresco dining shots. A very summery summation. And now, I have a craving for fresh-off-the-tree peaches. Nothing like a fresh peach . . . Happy Mute Monday and Happy Summer!

Hey ya'll! This theme was TOO BIG, I couldn't stop myself. Never put in the shots of kid's camp, tadpoles and lemonade stands. Or, best of all, a banner sayin' SCHOOL'S OUT!

TROLL-Man, yeah that dog is well run...

LEIGH, Puddin' yore site woan let me on--whas' that? I wanna see yore MM!

AB, Sweet Thang, LL BEAN catalog fer hammocks.

Charnita, I'se still 'memberin' how lovely yore babies are!

THURSDAY, Sugar, that curtain blowin' in the window nearly puts me into a delicious sleep. Ain't it jes' right?

KJ--hey!! Yeah, to be a kid takin' the wild plunge--to live so deeply for 30 seconds!!

PHO-KID, Youse got it!! Fer some reason, the olfactory sense is very acute in memory makin'....some smels jes' put me into a swoon of happy memories. And rain on hot pavement is one of 'em.

MOI, Honey Chile', I wuz so tempted to do a whole summery garden, a white and green theme thangy, but the fellas would think that too borin'. I'se thinkin' of makin a lovely peach sorbet. WHEN THE KITCHEN IS FINALLY FINISHED ARRRRGH!

Kate-y Babe, ain't that doggie ride a hoot? Hammock in LL Bean catalog.

BIG SHAMU! Hey hey...heh, well mah FAVORITE crusty is Stone Crab--jes' cain't aford 'em very often--whew, they is dearer than the lobstgers. Fer some reason, the King Crab doan do it fer me like a Stone Crab---youse the chef, why is that?

An' BTW, did you see Iron Chef America when it was Batali and the Parma-Reggiano battle? OMG!! The competing menus were celestial--the judges all swoonin'...

Searabbit, Darlin' ain't that so? Well...c'mon down to Floridy fer a April to October summer--but then, maybe it would not be so special.

She-Puppy, heh, well well...why'd I know youse gonna focus on the big black dawg in the sprinkler??? But heck--I put that water-wavy fence line in fer ya as a tease fer the artist amoung us'uns.

Sorry Belle, I missed that Iron Chef but will try and catch it in re-runs just for you. It sounds amazing.

Wonderful selections! I especially love the fruit picks. Fresh locally-grown fruit is one of the best parts of summer, particularly here in the north where summer is really just the two months that aren't winter. I hear it's much different where I'm moving to (Charleston, S.C.).

Happy MM!
